Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does this assembly hold students attention?

Absolutely. We use quick, contemporary video and speaker segments in the assembly program. Each segment is 7 minutes or less and often includes student profiles relevant to the viewer. This maximizes audience attention.

2. How long is the assembly?

Approximately 40 to 49 minutes. The audience experiences fun, challenge, education, and more. We cover 4 to 6 issues from a broad collection of important themes for today’s student. The Seven Assembly issue list currently includes: Abstinence, Anti-violence, Character Choices, Dreams, Peer Pressure, Scholastic Achievement, Self-respect, Substance Abuse, Suicide, Tobacco, Integrity, Coping

3. Does it involve students?

Students get involved in games and give-a-ways (as approved by local principal). They are emotionally and intellectually involved in other parts of the program via the presenter and accompanying multi-media.

4. How much work is there for me?

Quite simply, your role is executive. We are here to serve you and your school by providing all the media, personnel, and programming for the assembly. Each school is asked to complete a “Seven Assembly Presentation Agreement” by one of our local coordinators. The agreement identifies the time, date, contact name(s) and fee. We invite each principal to select four to six issues from our complete available presentation list. We want to help you build a better student. You, the principal, know the highest thematic needs on your campus. We invite you to tailor the program for your school by selecting the themes you prefer from our list.

5. Who is the organization behind this assembly?

Youth Alive is the sponsoring organization. Established in 1979, Youth Alive is a national organization building students’ hope on the middle, junior high and high school campus through strategic empowerment of students, youth leaders, and educators. Youth Alive has invested over $1 million to provide Seven Project assembly teams throughout the United States.

6. Is there religious content?

No. The sponsoring organization, though a religious non-profit, has directed that no religious content be involved in its assembly programs. Youth Alive has a long history of fulfilling this pledge for its sponsored assembly programs. The content is morally based in traditional American values and the laws of our government. While there is absolutely no religious content in the Seven Project school assemblies, there are evening festivals in the community that often include some religious content. In such cases, a proper disclaimer will be made so that those who would not wish to be affiliated with these festive gatherings may be made aware of the additional religious content. Our presenters are prepared to follow the directive of school administration with such information.

7. How much does it cost?

Due to regional variances in expenses, contact your Seven Project state director for the cost in your area. Click here for contact information.
